Its a poor song and contains far too many expletives for my liking!
Its just a bit too schemey
That said, I got a row last week in the cosmopolitan enclave that is gayville or edinburgh to you and me, for booing the english anthem!
Well its no my anthem and I reserve the right to tell folk that.
I wasnae in the BBs or any of taht pi*h.
I also reserve the right to shout at the top of my voice "get it right up ye" when america or anyone else scores against them!
The poofs were no happy in the slug and lettuce I can tell you!
Im all for the narrow minded parochial approach; ABE - TFR!!! |

I was watching that. It's watching stuff like that, that makes me think I need to look again at my attitude towards the success or otherwise of our cousins across the border. Yes, my gut instinct is to cheer a goal against Stevie G et al. However, to be associated with that mindless nonsense is a little bit concerning. I doubt there is anyone reading this who has bought or even thought about buying one of those ABE t-shirts. I would fully expect to be pointed and laughed at for wearing one 'down the town'. One possible solution - watch the game with no commentery. This will prevent anger levels increasing. |

I would love an ABE t-shirt but at £14.99 it's just out of my budget at the moment. After Wednesday they might be reduced.
Cheering goals against England is a Scotsmans divine right. When the day comes that we're no bothered or clap an England goal fitba is deid. It's rivalry an essential ingredient in being a football supporter. |

Rivalry in football is, of course, to be expected. Healthy banter? Naturally. Enjoying English pundits squirming as their team once again fails to deliver? Priceless. And in the comfort of my own home or in the company of some great mates, mate and I will enjoy every under-par performance of those in white. But I will give a wide berth to the above 'song' and associated merchandise with English defeat. I don't see this as double standards, but as a healthy line to draw in terms of my personal rivalry. Thanks for listening. |

Nice comment Gaffy...
Does anyone know the forecast for tomorrow? I realise this has nothing to do with anything that has gone before, but thought I'd better try and keep a thread going. In the words of Her Royal Chefness, Miss Delia...Let's be 'avin ye. Where are ye? |

Nice comment Gaffy.
I notice that you're still struggling with the quote thing. Better luck next time. |

I realise now I should have read these comments in order!
Gaffy you continue to be quite unfathomable and allarmingly disheartening.
Its absoulutely nothing to do with the commentators;
I actually felt sorry for Lee Dixon who was honest and gutted like a proper fan.
I totally appreciated the anxiety and distress of Chris Waddle on radio five who described them as rubbish. ( get a listen if you can its brilliant)
However on a number of counts I felt totally parochial and completely happy to laugh at all things english-
1 - Jermaine Defoe and ashley Cole arriving at the games off the team bus wearing outsize earphones like a couple of Mickey Mooses.
2 - John Terry trying to say he was bothered in a press conference when all he really wanted was home for a burl at a mates wife - unforgiveable in my shallow opinion.
3 - The outrageous granny selling of Hansen ( tru scumbag) Lawrenson and Townsend ( aren't they irish?) and Gary goody two shoed lineker, " If we get South Korea or uruguay we could be on our way to the semis!
Gaffy I'll be happy ordering you a union jack t shrt if you like you can and you can wear at the conservative club for lunch. |
