Having been subject to unprecendented amounts of harranging and badgering, indeed nearly to the extent of bullying and victimistation proportionism, about supporting the local team of perth, known as the "mightyPerthSaintees" no less.
And slightly embarressed that I had overlooked this new phenomenon, I felt compelled to take the opportunity to clear my head of three days on the lash by visiting the home of the new Scottish Soccer Super power, the "mightyperthsaintees" soon to be crowned the FA of Scotland Challenge knock out cup championeees.
Most remarkably on occassion "mightyperthsaintees" use only one player, the ex cousins of william stalwart and Tottingham and Derby County captain, David McKay.
I followed the suggested route of my beraters "walking up the dunkeld road" and eventaully arrived at McMuirton Park Stadio; a fine impersonation of a mini castle greyskull; As it was a fine day I didnt mind the peculiarly long walk.
Despite the autumnal like conditions I was amazed to discover that the match against Wee Craigiebroon and the sheep abusers had been cancelationed due to puddles on the pitch!
in 2011 there are still waterlogged outfields?
I have been unable to acertain just when the "mightyperthsaintees" will infact be playing another home game as there is no obvious abaitment in the puddles problem! Happily my £20 will remain firmly in my pocket.
Therefore I will contiune to afford my favours upon my natural team of choice. For this week, Sporting Clube De Lisboa
Good to see our brainwashing, harrassing and bullying is finally paying dividends.
On a more serious note Geoff needs to sort out a couple of issues.
1. When the weather forecast predicts that it's going to be hosing down on your already waterlogged tattie field you inform the paying customers that there may be a problem and arrange an early morning inspection.
2. During the summer he needs to stop penny pinching and install proper drainage, an USH sysyem that is reliable and put some nice green stuff on top.
Then he may attract some much needed paying customers like our local good friend VimVanBB.
