Sunday again and the thought of humping the softies is at the front of my mind, confident that some of the softies better players will be in a poor nick after their exploits yesterday. My money is on the panthers tonight after they controlled last weeks game with scant reward for their efforts. Over the piece our superior fitness and quality must show through in the end. pullout hair

A few of the Steelmen going through fitness tests prior to tonights match. Rumours that a few dodgy pie's spiked by a Pansy resulted in a some of the Steelmen feeling rough this morning.

Shaping up to be a classic tonight, will Mike provide the spark that the pansies have been missing or are the steelmen just too good.

We 'll find out shortly. Wink

A well deserved win by the Pansies tonight. Unfortunately as they could not raise a team and they had to borrow one of the Steelies players, the result is null and void. ( rule 6781 section c)

The steel men were not there well oiled self tonight and were a bit rusty after the marathon exploits before and after the Scotland game yesterday.

With several of their regulars otherwise engaged, the Steelmen were forced to dip into their youth academy to face a buoyant Pansies team full of confidence after last weeks surprise victory. But what should have been a tough match for the energetic but inexperienced Steelmen turned out to be a stroll in the park 8-2 victory from a team full of heroes.
The outlook for the Pansies next week does not look rosy either with Phil once again forced to limp off late on and if that was bad enough, with most of the Steelmen's regulars available for selection next week it looks like you may have Willie Buchan back next week Shocked Yes when you're down things really are bad. Wink
One of the few plus points however from the Pansies camp was the effervescent McKillop with several lung bursting sprints from the back but with the Steelmen welcoming back Butcher Bill (if selected) I could see these runs coming to an bone crushing, astro burning end. Laughing

In my defence I felt it would of been unfair on my fellow Perth players that I should come out of second gear, I was just grateful for getting a pass from young Jailer Embarassed I must say though that allowing AndyE to contol the midfield was an embarassment for the Perth lads and they will all have to take a good look at themselves for next weeks encounter Laughing

I am extremely disappointed that my technical skill is being overlooked Sad

My optima stats show that I have completed 17000 out of 17001 passes this season and chipped in with 650 goal assists. 700 shots at goal with 3 on target is poor I admit but even Messi has an off game sometimes.

By the way AndyE throughout my illustrious amateur career ( 8 trophies in one season with Lowson United, did you know!) the nickname has always been "Vinnie" Laughing

that sounds like a bit of sour grapes Jailer, we had Clarky who thought he was playing for you at times and wee mailer who scored a few "tap ins" after some great build up play by the water carriers!!!!

couple of weeks off due to the Steelmen under strengh and Jailer obviously not confident of his squad rotation policy!!!! Embarassed

Wee Mailer and Clarky carried your team. At least the Steelmen have squad rotation, Pansies are struggling to find 7 players. Wink
