After last years trip on the train down to Newcastle we've decided to have a trip over the border again.
There's a free week in the SPL on Jan 12 so it seems a good time to head down. Train tickets are available to buy in just over a week. Journey time is 4 hrs from Perth with a change in Edinburgh and Newcastle. Cost of the train is around £50 for adult and child. £25 of Tesco vouchers can be used to buy the tickets. Sunderland ticket prices £25/£10.

| have had a look at trainline.com - who obviously don't have the discounting ability of Jailer Tours - they're quoting a fair bit more (Michael will be 16 by then, so I guess that'll be 2 adult tickets I'll need) Would be up for it but it will depend on the train ticket cost. |

The cheaper tickets should be available soon, if you have tesco vouchers exchange them for red spotted hanky vouchers which can be used on their site to buy train tickets. I'll keep an eye on the ticket prices and when they're available I let everyone know. I'm sure Michael can pass for 15 to secure the cheaper ticket. |

| Remember you can use tesco vouchers and buy the train tickets through redspotted hanky. |

Having a 'mare!!! 
Mrs Dee_62 ordered the TESCO vouchers last Sunday night and then changed her email address on the TESCO site.
This resulted in us not getting the confirmation email forwarded, which then led to a redspottedhanky.com issue with email account not matching TESCO email account...now need to amend the account with the old email address - and a knock-on 24 hour delay in getting the vouchers credited to the account!!!
