Confused A bit harsh JT Exclamation
Shocked You want Shocked THEM Shocked to beat Ireland? Shocked

Mad I have an Irish Mum and grew up eating Irish stew, Irish cabbage, Irish smarties etc...

Shocked That said I'm not a fan of magical mystical Ireland; it rains alot, there are hills, theres no much to do, everyone goes to the pub...Sound familiar Question
Oh aye - just like us!

There are two significant differences between Eire and Scotland;

Guiness - the marketing force behind all things Irish (ice in cider? How very clever!) and as a consequence St Patricks day.
Do any of the Scottish conglomerates pour (excuse the pun) money into St Andrews day? Nah! its too nationalistic and probably offends some parts of our calvenistic heritage!

Leading nicely on to point number two - Nationalism - The Irish are fiercely patriotic about there country; they've got two anthems for feck sake! I know most subscribers to this sight are total patriots though I'm never sure about the Cat, he's a current bun after all; however to a man the Irish are. In simple terms - Robbie Kean would never not play for his country, no matter the manager. Scotland has a great goalscorer who only plays if he likes the guy in charge:?: Now dont even get me started about Durie,McMoist, Goram and princess Diadora! Rolling Eyes

Very Happy I'd recommend a trip to Eire, but not Dublin, thats like going to Edinburgh, full of foreigners and over priced beer. Try Tipperary, its a long way Smile but hunners of pubs and excellent craic Laughing

MY RANT IS WHAT HAVE YOU LOT GOT AGAINST HUNS?????

NO ONE EVER SEEMS TO MENTION "THE GREAT UNWASHED" WITH ALL THE PLASTIC PADDY'S!!!!!!

Sorry for shouting! fingers

Apologies if my rant offended your tattie munching family but I think you're looking through your Irish tinted glasses again. Laughing

1. Tennents is better than Guiness beer
2. Roy Keane
3. Croke Park

Ireland is more patriotic than Scotland because Ireland is made up of 75% irish/ 25% low life dafties therefore their loyalties are pro Ireland. ok

Scotland is made up of 25% Scots / 25% Brits / 25% Plastic Paddies / 25% low life dafties therefore depending on the circumstances it is very difficult to get a majority in support of anything. Confused Every citizen in Scotland fits into one of these brackets, sometimes they cross over depending on the argument. Idea Re Princess Diadora Rolling Eyes Mccoist et al jumped firmly into the Brit camp. Twisted Evil

I have visited Ireland (not Dublin) and drunk large amounts of drinking with the locals in Monaghan and Donegal. However, at the moment they are still just below England in the likeability stakes.

Ireland deserves to be united and ruled by England. Exclamation

The Cat,

Scottish Brits (Huns) are the lowest of the low and should share a cesspit with the Scottish plastic paddies. Fortunately most of them are housed in weegieland and darkest Ayrshire although some do pop up in Perth and West Carse. Evil or Very Mad

Shocked Roy Keanno Kean didnt refuse to play for Eire; he was punted by their English Manager! who rpetended to eb a mick but is in fact less opf one than me.

Croke Park? outstanding stadium in comparison to Hampden and they are building another one in Dublin to rival it! How can this be possible! Rolling Eyes
