I had a phone call from Jocks wife to say he has had a heart attack and is in hospital. 
He has cancelled all his bookings for March and we'll just have to wait and see how he recovers. 
I'm sure that everyone from Jailer Tours wishes Jock a speedy recovery.  |

That's terrible news.....have we got any booking during March?
I joke, I joke.
That is not good. I think we should send a card and leave the bottle of vodka and 60 tabs until his wife reckons he's back to full 'fitness'.
Do you want me to organise a card? Is he in a ward yet and did she say how long he's likely to be in? That's all my questions. |

It would be a nice touch for the JT to send him a card but reckon his new tipple will have to be IRN BRU or Lucozade. Not sure what ward he's in but I'll phone at the weekend to find out how he is. |

Phoned Jocks wife this morning. He's in Ward 6, PRI. Still doing tests on his heart to try and find problem.

Spoke to Mrs. Jock tonight. She was telling me that Jock is quite down at the moment. Since being in hospital, he has had a stroke. If he is up to it, the plan is to move him to Edinburgh Royal on Monday so that he can have a bypass operation.
His wife said he'd be delighted to see any visitors. I am popping up at some point on Sunday and will pass on everyone's best wishes. |

Jailer and myself visited Jock in hospital today. He is actually looking quite well but still has to go to Estonia for a further rest before the incision will fade.
We said his contacts were in Fife. An updated alligator missed his feet.
I think that's what was said. Sorry, I was watching the football.  |

Jocks wife phoned tonight with an update.
Jock underwent a double bypass today in Edinburgh Royal Infirmary and she will phone later in the week with his progress. |

Sorry, forgot about the actual reason for this thread. I lost myself in my own self-importance there for a minute. Mailer, thanks for reeling me back in with your slightly informative post.
Fingers crossed for a full and speedy recovery, for the chap we affectionately call Jock, for that is his name.
