Hopefully our time has finally arrived. One victory against Motherwell and we have a Scottish Cup Final and possibly European football to look forward too.
It has to be our turn
COME ON YE SAINTS |

a short summation;
Game -
ridiculous venue. peas in a tin.
Support -
As I have stated previously and had confirmed yesterday; saints dont have supporters, they have people who go and watch and complain.
Perhaps the singing in the pub or on the bus should be transferred to the match.
At 1-0 I jumped up and shouted "Come on Saint Johnstone!" but no one joined in, they just sat on there hands or shook their head in acceptance. Theres a difference between supporting and just spectating. Perhaps Perth is too posh for that sort of rowdiness? but more of that later!!
In one other exchange I overheard, a steamer further back shouted
"c'mon tae f**k Saints!" but he was rounded on by a fellow watcher who chastised "We're all passionate, but this is the family section!" aye well at least sing ring a ring of rosies or something to display the "passion!"
Team/Perormance -
Desperate, like leaving a birdie putt short. it was the semi final and the chance not only of playing in the final but possibly a chance of winning it, aberdeen and celtic are both beatable.
Saints played One forward, who appeared to have the between his buttock cheeks welded together as he couldnt/wouldnt run the length of himself. the goalie from you tube decided to top up his braodcast himself account with a Stewart Kennedy circa 75 performance
JT Tours
as usual fantastic delivery of a gold plated service.
Nippers quiz bus outstanding value on the way down; Cat wins the quiz? eh?? well with support from well known Perth photographer, who told me he had a fantastic day out! so did his even better known deef dad!
However - lucky he was deef on the way home!
Some loud fannies dont need a microphone to be loud fannies
The watchers came alive when blootered and gave tremendous renditions of four letter littered songs including the continued use of a c word which would have me oot the hoose if used in front of my wife, never mind on a coach full of kids.
And the Rangers get stick for their songs? hope FARE doesnt investigate St Johnstone buses.
I also sadly missed the chance to hear the lengend that is nipper and his famous "king of the swingers"
Support your local team?
Saints are a souless cold fish; even in the days of Part time football under Rennie they were all out attacking and had some vocal support. nah! Tried it I'll stick to the Glory hunting thanks. |

The agreement to hold semi-finals at Hampden regardless of the teams participating is just one of the number of farcical decisions that the SFA manage to come up with to ensure that the death of Scottish football is not far away.
The SPL not content to sit back and laugh at the SFA want to join in to make sure our game disappears quicker than Saints fans on semi-final day.
Anyway to the game. Once Motherwell scored the first goal the Saints players and fans new that was our cup run over. Our strength this season has been our defence but unfortunately they did not turn up yesterday. We have no pace and strength going forward and Motherwell knew if they scored a goal the game was over.
Nipper once again was Jailer Tours star man. Not content with organising a superb quiz he then went into overdrive raising £120 for JT selling scratch cards in the club to cover the loss due to cancellations and increased bus costs.
After the debacle of a performance our Nips raised morale with his usual crowd favourites but unfortunately was shouted down by some JT revellers in the crowd. At this point I'm sorry to say as VimVanBB pointed out the use of language on the coach reach an unacceptable level. JT's board of directors have met and decided that in future only the great Nipper along with the accomplished andye will be allowed to sing on the way home.
This will hopefully ensure that the good name of Jailer Tours will not be tarnished in future. |

Great to hear that CEO decision
How could I forget the magnificent cameo by the legend that is "wee pawbs"
"thanks fans" near had me wetting myself
Nips should be encouraged to bring his "entourage" of candy cab assistants from the bools club on his quiz bus!
Brilliant performance from Nipper! a true legend

In the immortal words of our Nipper HOLD IT, HOLD IT, HOLD IT!!!!
I would like to think it was no surprise that I and my new paparazzi mate won the quiz, we had a wealth of knowledge on a range of subjects (apart from where the tellytubbies live that is)
As for the prizes, well they were exceptional and I'm sure the cuff links will make an ideal raffle prize at future outings.
Well done Nipper on the quiz, singing and begging for money of folk with those bloody scratchcards!
I have to agree with previous comments regarding the journey back to Perth and I'm sure Jailer has the matter in hand, also as a fan of Nipper and Andye's singing ability, I would love to hear a duet by them singing a montage of their favourite classics
Oh and the fitba was pish!!! |
