It wont surprise you that I felt it was unnecessary and quite embarrassing. Whatever your views are on the monarchy and their place in scotland, it's insulting to visiting nations and distrespectful. I cant think that there is another national anthem which we would choose to boo, anyone who did so was not only doing themselves an injustice but most importantly for me, harming Scotlands reputation in the eyes of the world. If we are to survive as a stand alone nation, then we want to be seen as friendly and respectful the exact opposite from our apearance the other night. We have to remember that we already have the Dundee thing to overcmome when attracting folks to Scotland, so lets not make it more difficult.

Ingin, Beefy, couldn't agree more.
I am now even more please I did not attend. Can safely say I would not have followed the blinkered and narrow-minded lead of those who did themselves no favours in the eyes of the watching world. Okay, we were lucky.....not many others would have been watching, but you get my point. Vive la difference.

I can understand this PC attitude by some of JT members. kissass

However, as some of us are against British rule in our country I feel it was an excellent opportunity to register a protest.

It was not an anti NI or anti English protest but a protest against the British establishment. fingers

I appreciate there are members of the JT's that believe in the union but fortunately they don't attend many games due to lodge meetings and pipe lessons. Laughing

Please don't laugh at me, I'm only a fool. Must have led a sheltered life. Don't think I knew about the original 'lyrics' to God Save The Queen....the whole General Wade thing.
I'm now going to have to change my mind. Outrageous! When did they first use it as their national anthem? So wrong.
Booooo. Booooooo. Booooo......... Evil or Very Mad

Excellent use of the Emoticons Monsieur Andre Pablo. gd job
Sometimes words are simply not enough. And other times you can say so much, when you say nothing at all. And on some of those occassions that is when you say it best. Unable to speak? Don't worry. I'll convey my message with a touch of your skin. This will let you know that I love you. Shocked
