Due to Jocks illness he's unlikely to be fit enough to provide the transport for the Speyside Way Trip. Crying or Very sad

I've thought about the following solutions. Idea

1. Hire a minibus for the weekend, do we know anyone who would like to come along for the weekend for the craic but not do any walking. Question

2. Hire a minibus and get someone to drop us off in Buckie (£130 for hire), we can get the megabus from Aviemore to Perth at 1808 for under a £10 each. thinking

3. Hire a minibus on Friday and Sunday and get someone to drop us off in Buckie and pick us up in Aviemore on Sunday. Idea

Any other suggestions Question

Like the sound of trying to get someone to come up and drive for us - that would let us leave the bags on the bus too!

Not sure we'd find someone though!

As an alternative - Train departing Perth 06:01am on the Friday morning to Keith (Arrives 09:32) 1 change in Aberdeen.
£16.90

Bus from Keith at 10:05 arriving Buckie at around 10:40am. Cost not known.

Then if the Megabus is available at around a tenner on the way back that would be cheaper than the train (around £22.00) from Aviemore to Perth.

I've got a quote of £240 to get us to Buckie which is not too bad. Megabus back down from Aviemore and it wouldn't be a disaster in terms of our budget. I'm still waiting on a couple of quotes and update on Jocks health so will make a decision next week.

As long as the Megabus back has toilet facilities!! For all of us who may struggle to last more than 20 minutes at a time after having a few pints in Aviemore! drinking

(me, Kirky drinking2 , Morrison and Jim all fall into that category!!)
