having spotted Andy the cook on saturday morning telly and thinking he must be the most famous member of JT I wonder if infact that is the case?
JT has many famous/infamous members and I wonder if nominations should be considered for this title?
I myself have appeared in Taggart the same episode as Claire Grogan get her wee doos out
I've also been interviewed by Shareen nanjafanny on STV news
I concede we have a few other outstanding claims for the title - The worlds greatest ever kisser is part of the current JT membership and auld Jim Mailer has a number of half holiday league winners medals in his attic!
anyone care to better these nominations before I put it to the vote!? |

Andy the cook actually describes two JT members although the jury is still out who is the most famous.
The Nipper is famous throughout Perthshire but as this is a public forum we'll need to pass on that one.
Stevie Broon is an affiliated member of JT and holds down a number of dodgy football positions with sphell but Old Jim Fairlie ex deputy leader of the SNP probably qualifies as the most famous JT member for raising the the famous Renfrew Ferry Question at Westminster
Old Mailer may contest this as the half holiday was of an exceedingly high standard back then. |

aye a good selection there for sure.
I plan to collate all the nominations and stir up a drunken debate in lindau.
nominations close on the 4th october.
debate probably take place Saturday morning just before the "sticking yer through beer mats" and "catching knives" contest
keep those nominations flooding in.

Results of the most famous ever Jailer Tours member has been decided!!
Some strong candidates and excellent endorsements heard in favour of the nominations but the final verdict was -
5th place - Andy Farlee/fairlee/Fairlie - for half cooking a doo on live telly.
4th place - Jailer himself - a short appearance on Youtube at edinburgh airport and a subby appearance for saintees of perth.
3rd place - Auld Mailer - a ten times half holiday league winner for the jail when the posties and the bakers could actually muster a team.
2nd place - Not the worlds greatest kisser but nipper the cat JTFC legendary goalie and record holder for the most player of the season awards
and the most famous jailer tours member
Sylvester - numerous appearances in the tabloid press televisiual representations in countries including liechtenstein, belgique and georgia and now officially famed in west of scotland from kilmarnock to airdrie as the official JT bus trip entertainment. A true iconic JT member |
