A chance to see something thar Rangers and Celtic fans will never experience.
Perth-based Saints fans will get the opportunity to see the First Division Championship trophy when an open top bus takes players and management around the city to celebrate the Club’s First Division title success.
Details were finalised with Perth & Kinross Council officials late yesterday afternoon for the parade which takes place next Tuesday evening.
Leaving from McDiarmid Park at 6.15pm the bus will travel through Letham, Hillyland, Tulloch, North Muirton, Muirton, Bridgend, Craigie and central Perth before arriving at the Concert Hall at around 8pm.
Perth and District Pipe Band will then lead the team and officials from there to the Council Chambers via Tay Street where a civic reception will take place and the trophy will be paraded from the balcony.
Chairman Geoff Brown says “We are delighted to accept the Council’s invitation for this parade and it is deserved recognition for the team and manager.”
The last time such a parade took place was in 1990, following Alex Totten side’s fulfilment of the same achievement.
The full route of the parade will be provided on the website at the start of next week.
