I'm anticipating an exciting game with a rejuvinated Hearts side after their midweek victory over Zagreb.
Saints to start with
Main
McKay McCafferty Gartland Grainger
Morais Davidson Morris Craig
Samuel Milne
Prediction 1-1 (Milne) Att 7102 |

Another cracking game at McDiarmid Park with the Saints scoring in the last minute to secure another point.
In the first half Saints pumped Hearts and should have had the 3 points in the bag. However, Saints only scored one goal through a great header from Davidson.
At half time the Jambos were obviously introduced to each other and came more into the game. Their equaliser came from a header from a free kick which Main should have come off his line for but he had superglue on his boots and was stuck to his line.
Hearts scored another late into the game but up popped Mad Mental Martin to curl a free kick into the top corner to send all the Saintees home happy.
I thought Hearts would have brought a bigger support. They must have had only 2000 fans in the crowd of just over 5800.
Superb entertainment and for those JT members still to get up to McDiarmid this season the next home game is against Dundee Utd on Sep 26th.

Firstly may i congratulate the perth saints on todays performance; ran rings round the jambos for the majority of the first half.
I have to disagree with the support count; there is no way saints had 3000 mailer; looking over at the east stand there were a fair few empty seats.
Hearts will continue to perform poorly as long as we have the dictator at the helm. |

Jambo, you're quite correct Saints had around 3800 in a crowd of 5800.
Behind the goals only has capacity for 1500 while the East Stand holds 4000. The North Stand had about 1300 Jambos and the Ormond around 700 Hearts fans.
I must admit I was expecting around 3000 away fans today but I suppose with the way Hearts have started the season 2000 is not too bad.
