Jailer Tours reported no injury doubts before todays game against EASTA although there was a bombshell dropped early this morning when Stevie Brown announced that two of the squad were not going to be turning up.
Thankfully trusted old veterans VimVanBB and petrocelli stepped in to bolster the squad. Further disaster was to unfold when midfield playmaker Deano 'Baggio' Laing couldn't get his motorbike started and missed the squad get together in their Douglas hideaway in Dundee.
Jailer Tours eventually kicked off with
Nipper
Brown Dott Mailer English
Jenes McNab Ritchie Barnett Kirk
Kitson
Subs Wallace, Fairlie
Jailer Tours were concerned about the pace and youth of the peh eaters and opted for a defensive line up with a compact midfield 5 leaving Norrie to run about into off side positions up front.
This was to prove JT's downfall as the peh munchers weren't that good.
Unbelievably a mistake from JT's Jailer (only his 3rd mistake in a long and distinguished career) gifted the first goal to Easta. This was quickly followed by a second that Nipper failed to block and it looked like JT was ready to collapse.
A change to the formation with big Neil Ritchie moving up front and JT returning to their favoured 4 4 2 saw an instant improvement and JT finished the half the stronger side and were unlucky not to reduce the defecit.
At half time Deano immediately made an impact by taking VimVan BB's strip and took his place on the sidelines.
With the wind behind them Easta put JT under more pressure and the Nipper having left his form in Inverness lost two more goals.
However the belief in the JT squad was evident with Deano taking out anything in the middle of the park and were rewarded with two late goals through McNab and Stevie Brown.
JT can be proud of their efforts and can reflect on an excellent cup run.
Best of luck to EASTA in the next round and thanks for their excellent hospitality in the PO Bar in Broughty. |

Mailer, you're a disgrace! I am absolutely disgusted! I'm ashamed to be part of JT. I'm calling for an immediate call of no confidence in your abilities to lead the troops as they should be led.
Yes that's right. There is no way you have drunk enough today to be able to put together that nice little report on the game. It appears quite concise and reasonably well written for a man of your intelligence. As much as I have enjoyed reading it, there is no way that it should be making any sense whatsoever. You quite evidently have to give yourself a shake and try to drink more the next time. My only hope is that others did not follow in your footsteps and suitably made arses of themselves after the game.
By the way, good effort and unlucky boys. Better luck next year. |

So I'm just going to have to write...

Mailer, you are not the man I thought you were. You've changed. And I'm not sure I like it. What kind of example is that to the young lads like Barney, coming through the ranks? Remember. Drink, Wumin, Feck. I thought we made a promise to take advantage of all of the above when joining this organisation. I appreciate that only one of them ever does come along our way But that only means that complete and utter advantage must therefore be taken. It's Angus I feel sorry for. He must be at least a little embarr...emmbarre...emberras...disappointed.
Craig, what do you think Jock is there for? Remember, nobody must take their own transport in the future. We run the risk of becoming a laughing stock, with the distinct possibility of our Travel Club memberships being terminated.
Think on! |
