An easy topic for everyone to have their say.
George Burley today received the backing of the SFA to continue as the manager of Scotland.
Is this the correct decision Should Burley have been shown the door after a dismal campaign or is he the best option we have at the present time
Come on have your say on JT weekly debate |

You can only pish wae the cock you've got!!!!!
Probably a good saying judging by the lack of talent available to "wee George", I think it was the right decision on this occasion although he is probably on borrowed time. I would like Boyd brought back into the fold as soon as possible as we would have probably made the play offs if he had not thrown the dummy oot, it's time to sweep the board clean and start again. |

I thought I'd never see the day but I actually agree with The Cat.
I think it's time for stability, hopefully he can bring someone in to help gel the squad and improve team spirit. |

Burley is a liability and mark my words, after we've lost our opening two games, he will get the arse and we'll be scraping arund to find a replacement.
He said in the press conference that he felt the team were improving; we've improved from being 14th in the FIFA rankings to what? We played 1 and a half good games under his tenourship - there's a long way to go before he's brought the team back to the level it was when he took over - that's when improvement begins.
Craig, your question of the day should read -Why must Scotland always accept mediocrity?
As an aside, fine result for the Rangers tonight. Hopefully the 'tic can do somethign tomorrow night too and bring a degree of respectability back to our game. |

As the topics appear to be coming thick and fast, I just want to quickly get my neb in here. After some thought, I've decided that I just can't seem to make up my mind. Och, sod it.......I think it's right he has stayed. Yes, not a great campaign. Yes, some odd player and set-up choices. However, I believe that even with (or despite of) the players at his disposal, we should have finished second. And for me, this problem lies with the players ultimately. We don't really know, but yes, there may be some player/manager issues, but at the end of the day puttng on the dark blue should automatically put all that aside and they should perform - they did not. Go George. See you all in Riga next year. |

Fear not fellow JT TA members
Burley has saved himself by sending for another Craig Broon acolyte!
Gary Mac, king of the pointless front post corner and victime of the spoon bender!
Contrary to Ingin's assertion, we wont loose our first two games cos we'll be playing that desperate Craigie Broon defend the box and dont dare cross the half way line style.
Two heidless chicken deployed to run about in a ziggy zag, zaggy zig fashion up front so thet when a rare oppertunity does appear they'll be too knackerd to take it.
total crap
Crowd 55000
Team ; Leighton, Boydd, Calderwood, Henry etc etc... Dikov and Booth! |
